Hair Science Institute has a separate Academy division where (inter)national training and education are organised.
Since Hair Science Institute is dedicated to further developing the patented Partial Longitudinal -Follicular Unit Transplantation (PL-FUT), also known as HairStemcell Transplantation (HST), ongoing programs are carried out to improve efficiency and techniques.
Of course, the knowledge of the HairStemcell Transplantation (HST), has to be educated to other hair dressers, specialists, medical doctors and technicians. Therefore, the Academy organises trainings, courses, presentations and workshops for doctors, nurses, hairdresser schools and hairdressers.
There is a even full program created principally for (international) medical doctors and nurses so that they can learn to work with the specially developed patented medical instruments and materials. They need to complete these courses in order to earn the license needed to qualify for performing treatments of the HairStemcell Transplantation (HST) technique. The standard programme demands different months of intensive training in a good balanced mixture of theory and practice.
Besides the practical and theoretical training, we like to educate the trainees also the philosophies of Hair Science Institute. We consider it the physicians & technicians obligation to do everything needed to satisfy the patient and to ensure they collaborate together in a meticulous and optimal manner.
The education program takes several months of intensive training and consists in several parts.
The first (non-clinical) part will be held at the Hair Science Institute headquarters in Maastricht or at the location of the partner, and consists of theory, discussions and practical workshops. In the theoretical part, the medical doctors and technicians will be educated in the physiology of hair, hair diseases, and treatment modalities against hair loss problems. At the practical workshops, the medical doctors and technicians will be trained in the patented HairStemcell Transplantation, and they learn to work with the specially developed patented medical instruments and materials. They first have to practice on oranges and animal skin, before they can practice on humans under supervision of an educator of Hair Science Institute. So, all medical doctors and technicians who perform regular treatments on patients are qualified and certified to perform HairStemcell Transplantation.
The second (clinical) part of the education is totally focussed on the practical site and will take place at the Hair Science Institute headquarters in Maastricht or at the location of the medical doctor and technician in training under supervision of an educator of Hair Science Institute.
When the medical doctor and technicians are finished with their training, they will be certified and licensed for performing HairStemcell Transplantation.
At this moment, the educational program is part of a partnership with Hair Science Institute. However, at this moment, we are searching for other possibilities of education without a partnership.
